How to Read Sports Betting Odds
Four odds formats commonly encountered by Malaysian players — understand them before you bet.
| Odds Format | Brief Description | Example (RM10 Bet) |
|---|---|---|
| Malay Odds (Positive) | A positive number shows the profit per unit staked. The higher the value, the larger the payout. | Odds +0.85: Team A wins → profit RM8.50, total return RM18.50 |
| Malay Odds (Negative) | A negative number means you need to stake more to win RM1. Favourite teams usually display a negative value. | Odds -1.20: Team B wins → profit RM10 ÷ 1.20 = RM8.33, return RM18.33 |
| Hong Kong Odds (HK) | Shows net profit per RM1 staked. A simple format that is easy to calculate. | HK Odds 0.75: Team A wins → profit RM7.50, return RM17.50 |
| Indonesian Odds (ID) | Similar to Malay Odds but on a different scale. A positive value is the profit per RM1; a negative value is the amount you need to stake to win RM1. | ID Odds +1.50: Team B wins → profit RM15.00, return RM25.00 |
| Decimal Odds (European) | The simplest format — multiply your stake by the odds to get the total return including your original stake. | Odds 2.10: Team A wins → return RM21.00 (profit RM11.00) |
The figures above are for illustration purposes only. Bet within your means — gambling should remain entertainment, not a dependency.
Understanding Casino Bonus Terms
These terms often confuse new players. Understand what they mean before claiming any offer.
Wagering / Rollover
This is the total betting amount that must be reached before bonus funds can be withdrawn. For example, if you deposit RM100 and receive a RM100 bonus, your account balance is RM200. With a 15x wagering requirement on the bonus amount, you need to place bets totalling RM100 × 15 = RM1,500 before any winnings from the bonus can be withdrawn.
Bet Limit While Bonus Is Active
When a bonus is active, there is a maximum limit for each single bet allowed. Exceeding this limit may result in the bonus being cancelled. Check the specific terms before playing.
Game Contribution
Not all games contribute 100% towards the wagering requirement. Slots typically contribute at a higher rate than table games such as baccarat or blackjack. Check the game contribution list to plan your strategy accurately.
Bonus Expiry Period
Every bonus has a limited validity period. If the wagering requirement is not completed within that period, the bonus and any related winnings will expire automatically. Monitor the expiry date in your account dashboard.
Sticky vs Non-sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account as "play money" only — it cannot be withdrawn, but winnings from bets placed with it can be. A non-sticky bonus is usually kept separate; players can withdraw winnings once wagering is complete, with the bonus principal deducted from the balance.
Bonus Withdrawal Limit
Some platforms set a maximum limit on the amount that can be withdrawn from bonus winnings, even if you have won more than that. Check this limit so your expectations are in line with the actual terms.
Bonus Eligibility
Some bonuses are only available for specific games, specific platforms, or accounts that have never claimed a bonus before. Make sure your account meets the eligibility requirements before making a deposit.
Wagering Calculation Example
Based on the rilek77 Welcome Bonus:
Scenario 1:
Deposit RM100 → 100% Bonus = RM100
Account balance: RM200
Wagering: RM100 × 15 = RM1,500
Scenario 2:
Deposit RM2,200 → Maximum bonus = RM1,000
Account balance: RM3,200
Wagering: RM1,000 × 15 = RM15,000
Jackpot Games at rilek77
Several types of jackpots you can chase on our platform — each grows automatically.
Progressive Slot Jackpot
Every player bet across the slot network contributes a small portion to the jackpot pool. The jackpot value keeps growing until one winner takes the full pool by landing a special symbol combination on the reels.
Fishing Game Jackpot
In fish shooting games, the jackpot is triggered when a player successfully catches a specific fish or sea creature using a special weapon. The jackpot amount grows based on overall table activity.
Live Casino Side Table Jackpot
Some live baccarat and blackjack tables offer special side bets. The jackpot is triggered by certain rare card combinations, and its value accumulates across multiple tables simultaneously.
Crash Game Jackpot
Crash games feature a jackpot that is launched randomly at a certain multiplier. Each round gives active players a chance to win a share of the accumulated jackpot.
